The video of his presentation is at http://tedxmidatlantic.com/live/#WillNoel. I hope that the Walters has budgeted for the long-term maintenance and preservation of these digital assets. I would suspect that their importance might attract funding that would help the museum do that. But it is really up to the museum to find and allocate the money. Having people like Dr. Noel out talking about their work definitely helps to draw attention to it and may help them find the continued funding that they will need.Jill Hurst-Wahlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16355882159165026398noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8137713.post-27767648539845268082009-11-06T11:52:06.902-05:002009-11-06T11:52:06.902-05:00I won't be at the conference, but I'm curi...I won't be at the conference, but I'm curious what you think about current digitization efforts at the Walters in Baltimore. Their funding for this project came from the National Endowment for the Humanities, and funding for the amazing Archimedes project came from a private donor, but I'm curious about long-term funding for such projects.maryannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15589307152548724252noreply@blogger.com
